Interested in the American Red Cross? If so, you've come to the right place. The American Red Cross Club here at the University of Illinois was founded with the goal of getting university students involved with the local Illini Prarie Chapter through volunteering and fundraising. The organization offers many opportunities for students looking to get involved with the local community and other students here on campus. We host a wide variety of events including volunteering, fundraising, and social gatherings!
This semester, the Illini Red Cross Club is focusing all fundraising efforts towards Hurricane Katrina relief efforts. As you all know, this natural disaster has misplaced an entire population and although it is fading from the news, the recovery is going to take a long time and lots of help. Therefore, we have decided that all money raised through our various events this year will be donated to the American Red Cross to help relief efforts for those affected by Katrina.
